What Makes Kilter's Termite Services Different?
One of the ways that we differentiate ourselves from other termite companies is by using termite treatment products and methods that are not only highly effective, but also convenient. We use the innovative KILGUARD system which, in addition to eliminating both drywood and subterranean termites, does not involve fumigation.
This makes our treatment:
- Convenient – You can remain in your home instead of finding alternative accommodations while treatment takes place.
- Safe – You won’t need to worry about lingering chemicals affecting the health of your family and pets.
- Long-lasting – With fumigation, subterranean termites can simply burrow underground and return later. KILGUARD is injected into nesting sites, preventing recurring infestations.
To provide our customers with peace of mind that their infestation won’t return, Kilter provides an unbeatable two-year warranty on our termite treatment services.
Our Inspection & Treatment Process
After your free inspection, we can explain the benefits of our approach to termite treatment. Rather than tent and fumigate your home, we can use the KILGUARD system to target termites directly. In addition to being proven effective at eliminating drywood and subterranean termites, KILGUARD does not involve filling your home with toxic fumes, so you won’t have to find somewhere else to stay for days at a time. We also back our termite treatment with a two-year warranty, so you won’t have to worry about recurring infestations.
Kilter Termite and Pest Control is ready now to help rid your home in Costa Mesa, CA, of termites for good. Contact us today to schedule a free termite inspection and to learn more about the advantages of using our treatment system.

To ensure that the treatment is being done properly, the homeowner should observe the treatment process. Unless the homeowner is chemically sensitive, there should not be any adverse health problems associated with a treatment done correctly. Ask questions of the pest control technicians. Keep track of how long it takes them to do the job.
-
Termites move randomly through the soil searching for a source of food (wood). They do not have the ability to know exactly where your house is. So, if your next-door neighbor treats his home for termites, your house isn’t automatically the termites’ next lunch. No, your house does not need to be treated; but, if there are active termite infestations in your neighborhood, it is a good idea to have it inspected.
-
The best thing you can do is to be involved and observant in the inspection process. For example if you request an inspection and the inspector doesn’t inspect obvious areas such as your garage, attic, basement, etc., then you may need to consult an additional company. Don’t be afraid to ask questions.

Fumigation process normally takes 3 days and 2 nights unless there is a holiday or weekends or if special arrangements are made. Kilter’s Stay in Your Home termite treatment requires no leaving your home at all.
